Cocoon Networks' CEO John Zai presents Exit of the Year Award to tech company Bybox at UK Angel Investment Awards Gala
Last night, we were thrilled to celebrate the high growth and success of UK's angel and early stage investment ecosystem together with over 300 entrepreneurs and early-stage business representatives. The UK Angel Investment Awards Gala was a dazzling affair and took place at the Dorchester Hotel in London. Now in its 12th year, the award ceremony was brought into being by the UK Business Angels Association (UKBAA), the national trade association representing angel and early-stage investment in the UK, and continuing to support the UK’s highest-potential entrepreneurs. It shines the spotlight on the fastest growing brands and supporting forces behind them, i.e. the founders, angels, crowdfund and early stage VC investors responsible for their success.
John Zai, our CEO at Cocoon Networks, Europe's first Chinese-funded investment platform and financial consultancy, was delighted to present this year's Exit of the Year Award to winner ByBox. ByBox is a market leading technology company of which the judges said: "Following a strategic acquisition of the business in 2003, the team has achieved considerable growth in both revenues and profitability and is currently generating revenues of over 100 m. Taking an active role in the business as board representatives and group chairman, investors achieved an excellen 14x return following an MBO." ByBox specialises in supply chain solutions, tech services deployment and repair, and Click & Collect lockers.
